ILFRACOMBE FINALLY GETS IMPROVED MOBILE PHONE COVERAGE

"After continual lobbying of mobile phone companies over the paucity of coverage in the Ilfracombe area," says Nick Harvey, "3 have finally got the message."

"Following network improvements 3 is extending coverage to include Ilfracome for the very first time. As part of its network share agreement with T-Mobile, the two 3G networks are being consolidated.

"As a result 3 are planning to extend mobile broadband service to 98 per cent of the population by the end of 2010."

Simon Fell, 3's Regulatory & Public Affairs Manager recently told Nick,

"Due to a significant level of improvement to our mobile network in the Ilfracombe area your constituents are able to gain 3 coverage for the first time.

Notably we were the first mobile operator to charge a flat rate for data, to offer included calls any time to any network and the first to offer on-network roaming to our customers travelling abroad."
