THE PROBLEM

TV reception has always been problematic in some of North Devon's deeper valleys, and in black spots along our north coast: notably Lynton/Lynmouth and parts of Ilfracombe. With the onset of the Digital switchover, viewers in North Devon still faced problems in some areas in North Devon and felt they were being short changed.

PROGRESS TO DATE

Nick took up many individual cases before the digital switchover. With the switchover approaching, Nick pushed for Digital UK to honour their commitment that every house should receive digital TV or to set up solutions such as community masts for those who could not.

Nick was in regular contact with Digital UK during the switchover period, meeting them at the Commons and referring individual cases to them to ensure they were keen to make sure the transition went smoothly in North Devon.

Nick also conducted a survey to see how the issues were affecting you, and referred the people still suffering from problems to Digital UK
